What makes the Highlands Cashiers Players special is we are the areas only all-volunteer, not-for-profit theatre organization that always welcomes inexperienced and experienced actors all the same. We also encourage anyone who might want to help out in other areas that are just as vital, such as directors, technical staff, set designers and builders, backstage assistants, box office personnel, and hospitality providers.
The Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival enhances the cultural life of Western North Carolina by sponsoring performances by acclaimed musicians and promoting education, outreach and audience development programs that foster an appreciation of chamber music.
The PAC, as it is frequently called, continues to broaden its audience demographics to include all age groups and socio-economic ranges. Its mission is to keep admission and ticket costs at an affordable level, allowing the entire community to enjoy its programs and events. Targeted populations include children and youth and local year round residents.
