Mountain Theatre Company, North Carolina’s oldest continuously operating professional theatre company, is the legacy of early forward-thinking families of Highlands. 

The Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival enhances the cultural life of Western North Carolina by sponsoring performances by acclaimed musicians and promoting education, outreach and audience development programs that foster an appreciation of chamber music.

The mission of the Highlands Cashiers Players is to elevate the cultural environment of the Highlands Cashiers area by offering first rate theatrical productions; to seek out and develop the ample theatrical skills of the Plateau residents of all ages; and to foster the camaraderie of participants in theatrical productions.
