The 2025 Best Feature Film Award winner will be shown at the Village Green in Cashiers on Sunday, August 16th followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.

Never Not Yours, a drama short film directed by Steve Kniss and John Klein, follows three adult siblings—Michael, Ellie, and James—who travel to their family’s remote retired cabin for a weekend visit. Although they initially arrive without a clear understanding of why they were summoned, the weekend takes a chaotic turn when their parents, Jonathan and Maddie, unexpectedly announce their divorce. 

The film earned significant accolades at other major stops on its film festival circuit and is considered a festival favorite.
